Cleveland Golf have experienced major success in the last couple of years thanks to victories from Shane Lowry and Hideki Matsuyama on golf’s biggest stages, The Open and The Masters.
I recently reviewed their RTX ZipCore wedge which is designed with the better player in mind, and really enjoyed the sleek looks and excellent feel and feedback.
Building on this release, Cleveland have now announced the launch of a new RTX Full-Face wedge, bringing the full-face grooves to an RTX wedge for the first time for added short game versatility.
The new RTX Full-Face maintains the traditional and striking clean look that golfers have come to expect from a Cleveland wedge, all while adding shot-making creativity with grooves across the entire face. It’s the perfect complement to the classic RTX ZipCore and delivers exceptional versatility around the greens.

The central piece of technology in the new RTX Full-Face is the unique, low-density ZipCore which sits at the heart of the wedge and shifts the centre of gravity for more stability both high and low on the face.
The result of this is that you are supposed to find the ‘sweet spot’ of the face more often, providing more consistent spin, distance and feel on every single shot.
The wedge also features the same UltiZip grooves seen in the RTX ZipCore, now covering the entirety of the club face for optimal spin, while the High-Toe profile means you can slide the club under the ball with confidence.
It has also undergone a new heat treatment process which is said to improve durability and preserve the lifespan of the grooves, meaning that you should get better performance from your wedges for longer.

- ZipCore – ZipCore shifts the centre of gravity while raising MOI, adding spin, enhancing control and boosting consistency on all shots.
- UltiZip Grooves – These grooves are sharper and deeper, delivering maximum spin performance. They bite harder, channel more debris, and they’re closer together for more groove contact on every shot.

Heat Treatment – A new heat treatment process increases ZipCore’s durability, delivering better performance over a longer period of time.

Full-Face Grooves – Our hosel-to-toe groove pattern covers every millimetre of the face in UltiZip Grooves. That means that you are free to get creative and hit it off the toe when the shot calls for it without sacrificing spin.

Available from 11th June, the Cleveland RTX Full-Face comes in two different finishes: Tour Satin & Raw, in a C-Shaped sole grind.
The Tour Satin, priced at �139, is available between 50 and 64 degrees, whilst the Raw is priced at �159 and available in 56 to 64 degrees.
