Who? 25 year-old Australian Cameron Smith

What? The 2018 Australian PGA Championship, successfully defending the title he won last year.

Where? RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast, Australia

How?

Smith entered the final round with a three-stroke lead but found himself two behind Marc Leishman after nine holes. However, a back-nine 33 was enough to see Smith home, finishing two clear of Leishman at 16-under.

Following the victory, Smith said:

I’ve definitely improved a lot over the last year. I’ve put in a lot of hard work and I’ve just stuck to my process goals.

would love to get into the top 20 by the end of this year; it’s definitely the next goal.
