What’s In The Bag: Viktor Hovland

Winner of the 2023 Tour Championship & FedEx Cup

Who? 23 year-old Norwegian Viktor Hovland.

What? The 2020 Mayakoba Golf Classic, his second PGA Tour victory.

Where? El Camaleon Golf Club, Playa del Carmen, Mexico

How? Hovland carded a fantastic final round of 6-under 65 including three birdies in his final six holes to come out on top of a crowded leaderboard at 20-under and pick up his second PGA Tour title in just 10 months. A 10 foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole was enough to edge out Aaron Wise by one stroke.

Following the victory, Hovland said:

I dont really feel like Im honestly very good at those pressure situations. I was just trying to match the speed with the line, and it was just one of those times where it happened to go in.
