What’s In The Bag: Scottie Scheffler

Winner of the 2024 Olympics Gold Medal

Who? 25 year-old American Scottie Scheffler.

What? The 2022 WM Phoenix Open, his first PGA Tour win.

Where? Stadium Course, TPC Scottsdale, Arizona.

How? Scheffler picked up his first PGA Tour title in a dramatic playoff victory, eventually making a birdie on the first extra hole to edge out Patrick Cantlay. Scheffler had made four birdies in his last five holes to post a final round of 67 and play his way into the playoff, whilst overnight leader Sahith Theegala looked to be joining them until an unfortunate break saw him make bogey on the 71st hole.
