Who? 48 year-old Englishman Richard Bland.
What? The 2021 Betfred British Masters, his first European Tour victory.
Where? Brabazon Course, The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Wishaw.
How? After 478 starts on the European Tour, Bland finally tasted victory for the first time by edging out Guido Migliozzi in a playoff. Despite a third round of 72 which looked like it may have pushed him out of contention, Bland rebounded with a stunning closing 66, making just one bogey all week, including a 30 foot birdie putt on the last to force a playoff.
