Who? 34 year-old Englishman Matt Wallace.
What? The 2024 Omega European Masters, his fifth DP World Tour win.
Where? Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
How? Wallace held his nerve and found a birdie on the first playoff hole to win on the DP World Tour for the first time in six years. The Englishman started the final round with a four stroke lead, but Spaniard Alfredo Garcia-Heredia was able to put the pressure on and found a birdie on the 18th to put the pressure on, only to come up just shorter. Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston finished in third place, showing a return to form after a difficult few years.
