What’s In The Bag: Garrick Higgo

Winner of the 2021 Palmetto Championship

Who? 22 year-old South African Garrick Higgo.

What? The 2021 Palmetto Championship, his first PGA Tour and seventh professional victory.

Where? Congaree Golf Club, Gillisonville, South Carolina

How? Higgo secured his PGA Tour membership with his first victory on American soil, and third win worldwide since the start of the year. Chesson Hadley had started the final round with a four-stroke lead, but bogeyed his final three holes to slip back into a six way tie for second place. Higgo made an eagle at the 12th and a birdie at 14, before a miraculous up and down from 80 yards out on the 17th for a par save and a steady par on the last gave him the win.
