Who? 27 year-old Canadian Corey Conners.

What? The 2019 Valero Texas Open, his first PGA Tour victory.

Where? Oaks Course, TPC San Antonio, Texas.

How? After surviving a 6-man playoff to earn qualification to the event, Conners has now earned a place at Augusta National to compete in next week’s Masters Tournament. He started his final round in fine style with 4 birdies in the first 5 holes for a 4 stroke lead, but then bogeyed 4 in a row to drop behind. However Conners was able to rally and post a back nine of 6-under par 30 to take a 2-stroke victory.

Following the victory, Conners said:

I don’t think it has sunk in yet. It just doesn’t seem real.
