What’s In The Bag: Cameron Champ

Winner of the 2021 3M Open

Who? 26 year-old American Cameron Champ.

What? The 2021 3M Open, his third PGA Tour victory.

Where? TPC Twin Cities, Blaine, Minnesota.

How? Champ had been struggling for form throughout much of 2021 but managed to swing things back in his favour with a fantastic week of putting, culminating in a bogey-free final round of 66 which gave him a two-stroke victory over Jhonattan Vegas and South Africans Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen. Champ started the final round three strokes adrift of the lead but looked untroubled until his final hole, when a wayward tee shot meant that he had to get up and down from 127 yards to save his par and confirm the victory.
