Who? 26 year-old Scot Robert MacIntyre.

What? The 2022 Italian Open, his 2nd DP World Tour victory.

Where? Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, Rome, Italy.

How? MacIntyre fired 10 birdies in a final round of 64 which vaulted him up the leaderboard, leaving Matt Fitzpatrick to birdie the last hole to force a playoff. On the first extra hole, Fitzpatrick was only able to make par whilst a tap-in birdie on the par 5 was enough to give MacIntyre the victory.
