Cobra Updates T-Rail Hybrid Irons

Baffler Hollow Split Rails improve forgiveness in hybrid irons

Cobra has announced an upgrade to its T-Rail (Transition Rail) irons, a full hollow set which is characterised by its hybrid-iron shape and Baffler Rail technologies in order to blend distance and forgiveness in the super game improvement category.

Cobra T-Rail 2021 Hybrid Irons

The idea of the T-Rail irons is that they combine the forgiveness of a Cobra Baffler hybrid with the precision of an iron, in a set that is designed for any golfers looking to add more easy consistency to their game by being incredibly easy to hit.

They feature a hollow, wide sole shape with the face and topline of an iron, creating a blend of distance, forgiveness and accuracy. The hollow body construction is ideal for a hybrid-like launch, meaning that you can get the ball up in the air with minimal effort.

The updated T-Rail line features Cobra’s new Baffler Hollow Split Rails. Hollow rails in the front of the head create up to 70% more flex on the sole right behind the face, enhancing both launch and ball speed as well as providing the usual benefits to turf interaction.

The high-strength, forged steel face has variable thickness E9 technology, increasing ball speed and distance across the face and improving the performance of your mis-hits.

T-Rail iron sets transition from a 5 hybrid-iron to a classic 4-hybrid, in replacement of a 4 hybrid-iron. The hybrid shape has a lower and deeper CG that provides higher launch, and increased spin to allow it to fly higher and land softer than a hybrid-iron will.

As well as making longer approach shots easier and more consistent the 4-hybrid also helps to provide better gapping between the longer clubs in the set – an area in which lots of amateurs can improve.

The Men’s T-Rail graphite set is available in 4-hybrid and 5-PW, in dual PVD chrome and black finish, at an RRP of 849 for both right and left handed golfers. They are available in Ultralite 50g graphite shafts in both Regular or Stiff, or a 45g shaft in Lite, and Cobra Lamkin Crossline grips. There is also an option for 97g Ultralite steel shafts via custom.

You can also get a 5-hybrid, 6-hybrid, GW and SW through custom fitting to help players to perfect their gapping and level of forgiveness.

Both the Mens and Womens T-Rail sets will be available to pre-order from April 23rd with a retail date of May 7th.
