Ram Golf are back with a bang, as we saw earlier this year when we tested the extremely impressive FX77 irons.
The brand, which made its name in the 70s and 80s thanks to the likes of Tom Watson, Gary Player and Ray Floyd, have added to the new FX range again with the versatile and forgiving FX hybrids.
Offered in both 3 and 5 Hybrid models, the long-iron replacements are also designed to work in conjunction with Ram’s new FX Driver and Fairways.
They boast an oversized sweet spot to provide more forgiveness and accuracy on off-centre strikes, and promote a mid-to-high trajectory for soft landing approaches into the greens.
The low and forward centre of gravity makes it easy to launch the ball, while the aerodynamic head shape of the hybrid ensures maximum speed for more distance without any added effort.
A unique sole design is said to reduce turf drag and prevent the clubhead from twisting at impact for more accuracy. A slight offset reduces the potential for a slice, encouraging more of a draw shape.
The FX Hybrids are fitted with a Forgan of St Andrews graphite shaft which can be customised in length by an inch (in 1/4 inch increments), and a Ram grip available in small, standard or oversize.
