What’s In The Bag: Tommy Fleetwood Wins Johnnie Walker

Tommy Fleetwood won his first European Tour title with a bag full of Nike clubs.

Nike Golf’s Tommy Fleetwood got his first European Tour victory Sunday at the Johnnie Walker Championship, with a bag full of Nike clubs.

The 22-year old is only two years into his professional career and outlasted two European Tour veterans, in Stephen Gallagher and Ricardo Gonzalez, to win the three-way playoff.

“It’s unbelievable,” Fleetwood said. “I have been up there a lot and not even had a top-five finish and all of a sudden you come away with a win. I’ve always loved the golf course, I’ve always loved Scotland, and it just seems like it was meant to be.”

Using his Nike VR_S Covert driver, Fleetwood averaged over 311 yards off the tee, ranking fourth in the field in driving distance.
