Following hot on the heels of the Linx GT watch, SkyCaddie has added another GPS watch to its powerful arsenal, the SW2.
The SkyCaddie SW2 is a slim-line no nonsense GPS for golfers wanting accurate, no fuss yardages, straight from the box.
SkyCaddie's distance information comes from ground-corrected precision maps captured and regularly updated on foot by trained mappers using professional surveying equipment.
The SW2 is pre-loaded with data on approximately 35,000 courses, including 99% of the courses in Great Britain & Ireland, and is ready to go straight from the box.
The Auto-Course recognition feature means the device knows where you are playing and distances to the Front, Centre and Back of every green are prominently displayed on the bright, easy to read display. A shot distance function also allows you to measure how far you have hit any given shot.
Like all SkyCaddie products golfers can enhance the power of their device by hooking into SkyCaddie's cloud service by pairing the SW2 with the SkyGolf 360 Mobile App via a simple Bluetooth connection.
This means the scorecard from the SW2 can be uploaded and analysed alongside up to 20 previous rounds of golf, a great way of picking out strengths and weaknesses in your game. The SkyGolf 360 service has an annual fee of £14.95 that brings with it a host of useful web tools and access to an online community of other SkyCaddie owners who between them have already logged over 200 million holes of golf.
The SW2 also has built in fitness functionality with an odometer and calorie counter allowing you to track location, distance, time, laps, speed, pace and calories burned during walks, runs or bike rides, and you can also time your rounds of golf with a pace-of-play timer.
The SkyCaddie SW2 Watch includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with an extended battery life, giving you up to 14 hours of continuous GPS use on the golf course between charges.
