As we enter Autumn and the weather turns grey Galvin Green is injecting a splash of colour to the fairways with their 2015 Autumn/Winter range.
Boasting new shell layer waterproof jackets and windstoppers with strong colours helping them stand out from the crowd, the collection underlines the quality and performance that has led to Galvin Green being selected as the official outerwear supplier to the European Ryder Cup team in 2016 and 2018.
Galvin Green's creative director, Mats Lundqvist explains the move into stronger colour combinations:
Modern production methods now make it possible for us to design multi-coloured jackets that look even more distinctive and will remain colour-fast over time. We've added contrasting colours to the arms, back and front zippers in a way that enhances the main performance characteristics of the jackets and continues to help golfers look and feel good whenever they were them.
Galvin Green Albin Jacket
Galvin Green's Albin Gore-Tex jacket is a new half-zip version of the flagship Apex full-zip jacket. The stretch fabric construction features a mesh lining to enhance playability and comfort against the worst of the elements.
The Albin is extremely breatheable and Galvin has used less fabric in the front panel so the swing is not compromised and the chest width and bottom edges have been adjusted to ensure a perfect fit at address.
Galvin Green Aston Jacket
The Aston jacket is an ultra-lightweight full-zip jacket constructed from Gore-Tex Paclite fabric with an added stretch function to maximise freedom of movement. This effect is applied ergonomically in different directions on various parts of the garment to enhance performance of each area of the jacket.
Galvin Green has used 14 metres of tape of two different thicknesses around the jacket to ensure the golfer remains completely dry and the Aston is also equipped with a chest pocket and rain channels on the sleeve ends as well as adjustable width bottom edge and cuffs for a streamlined fit.
Galvin Green Brad Windstopper
Galvin Green's Brad is a new half-zip garment made from its Windstopper Soft Shell fabric that is extremely lightweight yet effective in keeping the wind at bay.
It has been designed to be minimalist in terms of material used with a soft collar and elasticated cuffs completing the functional performance with the front zipper featuring contrasting colour tones as part of a tri-colour combination that is available in five different combinations.
Galvin Green Bates Windstopper
The Bates Windstopper contains micro-grid air channels designed to enhance thermoregulation and warmth during play and an extra wind panel that covers the front zipper provides and extra level of protection.
A soft collar complements the soft shell fabric used in the jacket resulting in the Bates being an extremely comfortable and highly breathable outer layer.
