FootJoy is continuing its assault on the golf apparel market with the launch of the 2015 Autumn/Winter Performance Apparel Collection.

With new offerings across the Outer, Mid and Base layer categories, FootJoy expect to experience significant growth in its stake in the Outerwear market, with the collection bringing together new concepts and highly functional fabrics.

DryJoys Select Rain Jacket And Trousers

The Outer layer category is led by the DryJoys Select rain jacket and trousers which represent the most technologically-advanced waterproof FootJoy has created.

Using Japanese fabrics the DryJoys Select remains lightweight whilst still offering 25,000mm waterproof protection. This means the fabric can stand a pressure of 25,000 millimetres of water before it permeates through the fabric. To give this context wind driven rain exerts approximately 1,400mm of pressure whilst hurricane force rain equates to around 7,000mm.

This is backed up by a moisture permeability rating of 25,000g/sqm, a measure of the fabric's high level of breathability, letting moisture out to keep you comfortable as you play. The performance of the DryJoy Select is also enhanced with Bonded Seams, Laser Cut Pockets, FJ's Xtreme Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish and YKK Aquaguard Vision Waterproof zippers.

The DryJoy Select also benefits from a StaDry Collar that FJ's designers have created following feedback from all levels of the game. The collar has been shaped and heightened to prevent rain from entering the garment whilst ensuring it does not interfere with the golfers swing.

Richard Fryer, Sales & Marketing Director for FootJoy:

The DryJoys Select garments have been specifically designed for the serious golfer who wants the very best in performance, style and comfort.

The R&D team has worked tirelessly on a design that keeps golfers completely dry during heavy downpours, but also allows them to remain cool and breathable when combined with other Mid and Base layer garments.

The collar is also incorporated into the updated design of the DryJoys Tour XP, which together with the Tour Proven FJ Hydrolite suits, continue in the 2015 Outerwear range, both of which have been given fresh patterns and new colourways.

A new addition in 2015 is the FJ Thermal Fleece Jacket that boasts strategically placed fleece-insulated panels on the upper body inside a durable woven shell. It has been given FootJoy's DWR Finish to allow it to shed light rain and Stretch Shoulder inserts give complete freedom of movement for the swing.

FootJoy Mid Layers

The Mid Layer category sees a new introduction in the form of the FJ Performance Wind Shell that offers the functionality of a wind-resistant garment that is woven with the feel of a knitted product. A rainproof DWR finish and half-zip construction with an athletic fit makes it a highly versatile solution for changeable weather conditions.

The Berkeley Collection boasts five styles in Violet, White, Bright Lime and Grey, while the Jupiter range features Navy, White, Poppy Red and Cadet Blue.
